Cover & Benefits
Thousands of people in the UK lose their jobs every
week. If you are out of work for more than 30 days,
Silver cover will pay up to £1,500 per month
if you become involuntarily unemployed, having been
in work for a minimum of 6 months. Further payments
are made at 1/30th of the monthly payment for each
day you remain unemployed until you return to work,
or to a maximum of 24 monthly benefits in total.
Additional claims can be
made providing they are preceded by 6 months of
continuous employment during the term of insurance.
If you are self employed, you are also protected
if you cease trading due to insolvency and are formally
confirmed to HM Revenue & Customs.
Who is likely to be
at risk
• Anyone reliant on the use of their vehicle
• Anyone who would require a car to seek further
employment
• Higher wage earners in a family
• People with volatile professions
Exclusions
• Any claims where unemployment was known
to be impending at inception
• Any claims for unemployment arising or becoming
known about in the first 90 days
• Seasonal, casual, fixed term contracts
• Resignation or acceptance of voluntary unemployment

sickness and involuntary unemployment is underwritten
by Hitachi Capital Insurance Europe Limited. This
policy may be cancelled within 30 days of receiving
your certificate of Insurance.
